Ottawa Rave Scene Survey Results
The survey was conducted from August 19 till September 8.
In total, 281 survey were filled out with 3 of them being discarded for totally invalid.
That leaves a total of 278 completed surveys.
One thing that became very clear while going through these was that some people ignored the main point of the survey.
Lots of people filled info talking about how much they hated raves and never go to them. This was not a survey geared towards clubbers who have no interest in this type of event, it was for ravers and rave promoter who enjoy the underground EDM scene.
Now, after spending approx 9 hours sifting through the data, I have put together these pages to display the results. In many of the "fill in your own answer" boxes, people would right lots of things that weren't related to the question so those answers were disregarded and not included in the results except for the Feedback section which was left untouched., If anyone wants to read the complete results, I will post the raw data in a csv file. If anyone has any doubts about the results, they can also check the file for verification.
The second too last page are some of my conclusions about what this survey revealed but it is strictly based on my opinions. You don't have to agree with what I say here. The FAQ page at the end is for ravers to read so they have a better understanding of how the process of throwing an event works and why there aren't huge mega events every weekend. I ask a couple of my promoter friends to share their own thoughts in here. In theory, this will help them have a better understand of the costs involved in raves, how permits works and why there aren't all night events weekend. I think its very important for party goers to read this section so they won't have the same complaints in the future for things outside of the promoters control.
I'm sorry if it isn't presented in the pretty (or consistent) format but what matters is what's on the pages, not how it looks.
